Mobicam Wireless Baby Monitoring Bundle Review

Mobicam Wireless Baby Monitoring Bundle Review
PROS:

Good video, audio, and range. Also good value for the money.

Camera is on 2nd floor and video monitor is in basement and

still had good picture and audio. If it is close to limit of

range then it will show fuzz for about 1/2 sec about once a minute

(not bad but not perfect).

Another good feature is that the camera and

base can be powered by AA batteries or supplied power cable. Switching

between power supplies is as easy as plugging or unplugging the power

cable to the unit while it is still on. No problem.

Night vision works well, but need to have camera probably within 5 feet

of what you want to look at unless going to have a lamp or something else

on in the room. If a lamp is on (that is not bright enough to switch the unit

back to color) then viewing distance is probably 12 feet. Note: the unit

switches automatically between color and black&white depending on the amount

of light in the room.

CONS:

One drawback is the vertical viewing angle of screen is limited so you have to have it at eye level or just prop the front of the unit up by placing a CD

case under the front of it and this will put the screen at the correct

angle (if the base unit is on a desktop); or given the wide horizontal

viewing angle of the unit you can just place it on its side and still

see the image clearly (although then the image you are looking at is sideways).

These cameras on these units can be angled about

30 degrees up or down, I would suggest the manufacturer do the same

for the video screen or put the screen in the base unit along the other

axis so that vertical has a large viewing angle.

OVERALL:

Overall it does what it is suppose to do and is a good value for the money.
