MobiCam Audio Video Baby Monitoring System Review

I HATE this thing and wish I would have gotten a different one. for one thing it SUCKS battery's so fast! would have been nice to have a chargeable handset. takes 6 AA batteries and if you've got the screen on it'll last like a night. when my daughter was about 4 months old it started buzzing. there's this LOVELY buzzing/staticy type noise that makes it almost imposible to hear the baby without turning way up and then annoying yourself with the stupid buzzing. Now the screen also gets staticy and fuzzy at random times and last night the screen just went blank and no sound randomly. I'm soo frustrated with this thing!!! Don't waste your money, other's might be more expensive but they're probably a heck of alot better quality than this piece of junk
Overall this monitor is pretty good. The video and audio is quality is decent. it is portable and support a/v cables if you wish to use a tv for a larger screen.



It does have a few draw backs though. The first is that the camera has a limited range of movement so you can not point it looking down. You either have to have it on a table at the same level looking between the bars or you have you mount it upside down on the wall so you can point the camera down. We ended up mounting it upside down and found it didn't make too much of a difference view it upside down.



Another drawback is that it appears any less than bright sunlight from outside the night vision kicks in and you won't get color even with overhead light on in the room. We are mostly using it at night however so we would not get color anyway.



We also rarely get bursts of static. It unclear what causes it. It may be from out Wi-Fi but is doesn't do it that often and is fine for long periods before it starts up again.



Overall though it does do its job as a baby monitor.
